Is there anything else needed to help persuade us to treat our children better than the events of today? Parents dropped their kids of at school today in Connecticut, and many of those kids got murdered. I was frustrated with my kids this morning getting them out the door, but fortunately I did not yell, but I for sure could have been nicer about it all. Treat your kids right! It could happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime. The kids who got murdered are in a good place...they are being taken care of. Families and friends left behind are hurting like crazy no doubt. Those of us far removed from the situation are hurting. Let's not hurt in vain...let's treat our kids right! For the reason that you just never know, but also for the reason because they deserve it, in all situations, no matter what. Kindness, patience and creativity work...no need to get ugly with our kids. SNAPP

"There comes a point in life when fun no longer means clubbing, drinking or being out until 4am, or thinking about myself! Fun means Disney movies, family dinners, bedtime stories, long cuddles, a messy house, sleeping by 10pm and hearing little voices say, "I love you." Becoming a parent doesn't change you, it makes you realize that the little people that YOU created deserve the very best of your time." I don't know who originally wrote that, I just came across it on facebook not too long ago and really liked it. In my opinion, common sense suggests that when you become a parent, you really NEED to become a parent. Give the best of what and who you are to those who should matter most! SNAPP
